Terms & Conditions

Ordering of Goods

All Margot Steel Designs products are made to order. Margot Steel Designs operates from Monday-Friday. Orders will be processed within 1 working day of receiving order notification, and will normally be dispatched within 5 working days of receiving order notification.
If a customer has not received an order confirmation within 1 working day of placing their order, they should contact Margot Steel Designs using the contact details on the website to confirm that the order has been received.
If there is any significant delay regarding the processing of an order (e.g. if fabric is out of stock), Margot Steel Designs will let inform the customer.

UK Orders

Within the UK, orders are dispatched via a trackable courier service. Dispatched orders will arrive in 2-5 working days of dispatch.
If faster delivery is required, orders will be dispatched using 1st Class delivery from Royal Mail. This can be requested via the contact details on the website, but is not trackable.
If goods have not been received within 10 working days of an order being placed, and the customer has not been notified of any delay, they should contact Margot Steel Designs using the contact details on the website.
There is no additional shipping charge for goods sent to addresses within the UK.

EU Orders

Outside the UK, but within the European Union, orders will be dispatched using Royal Mail. These orders can be tracked until they leave the UK, but tracking outside the UK varies depending on the country the order is being sent to.
If goods have not been received within 7 working days of an order being placed, and the customer has not been notified of any delay, they should contact Margot Steel Designs using the contact details on the website.
There is an additional shipping charge of £8.00 per item for goods sent to addresses within the EU.

International Orders

Outside the European Union, orders will be dispatched using Royal Mail. These orders can be tracked until they leave the UK, but tracking outside the UK varies depending on the country the order is being sent to.
If goods have not been received within 12 working days of an order being placed, and the customer has not been notified of any delay, they should contact Margot Steel Designs using the contact details on the website.
There is an additional shipping charge of £15.00 per item for goods sent to addresses within the EU.
Customs and Import Duties may apply in some countries and these must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Margot Steel Designs has no control over these charges and cannot accurately predict what they may be. Customs policies vary from country to country. Customers are advised to contact their local customs office for more information.

Transfer of Responsibility

Risk in any Product shall pass to the Customer upon delivery. It shall be the responsibility of the customer to insure products against all risks from the time of delivery.

Cancellation of Orders

Purchase of goods may be cancelled by notifying Margot Steel Designs within 2 days of the order being placed. In such cases a full refund will be made via PayPal.
Purchase of goods may be cancelled within 14 days of receipt of goods by notifying Margot Steel Designs. The goods must then be returned to Margot Steel Designs at the expense of the customer. Margot Steel Designs will refund the purchase within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods.
If the customer fails to take reasonable care of the goods, Margot Steel Designs reserves the right not to accept their return.
Please note proof of postage is not proof of delivery and it is the responsibility of the customer to insure the carriage.

Distance Selling Regulations (General)

Under the Distance Selling Regulations the customer has the right to cancel their order for any item purchased on this website, for a full refund. This does not apply to items that have been personalised or made to specification.

Reporting of Faulty/Damaged/Incorrect Goods

Faulty goods should be reported to Margot Steel Designs within 2 days of receipt of the goods. Goods should then be returned to Margot Steel Designs, whereupon the customer will be refunded in full or a replacement item sent, as desired by the customer.
Goods damaged in transit should be reported to Margot Steel Designs within 2 days of receipt of the goods. Goods should then be returned to Margot Steel Designs, along with any delivery paperwork. Margot Steel Designs will arrange for a replacement item as soon as confirmation of the nature of the damage is received.
Incorrect goods should be reported to Margot Steel Designs within 2 days of receipt of the goods. Goods should then be returned to Margot Steel Designs. Margot Steel Designs will arrange for a replacement item as soon as confirmation of the incorrect item is received.

Shortages

It is the responsibility of the customer to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier’s delivery note and to notify Margot Steel Designs within 2 days of delivery.

Non-Deliveries

Margot Steel Designs will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless notified within 10 days of the expected delivery date. Any claims regarding errors in dispatch or invoicing of any Product must be submitted within 7 days of receipt of the advice note or invoice. Margot Steel Designs may refuse to recognise a claim not made within that period.

Liability

Margot Steel Designs shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss or any loss to the customer arising from third party claims.
