Mark In 1991 Margot Steel noticed a need and decided to meet it. She saw it in people living in her immediate circle, it was a simple idea that was to go around the world. She produced a laptray - a tray that provides a secure surface elevated above ones lap from which you can eat, read a book, write letters......
it proved to be a great success.

The local hospital soon showed an interest in Margot's product and placed an order, suddenly Margot Steel Designs was born. She approached local department stores who were very excited and, after a demonstration, placed orders. This initial success prompted Margot to attend her first trade fair where her first export orders were achieved.

Ten years have passed since Margot attended her first trade fair and in that time the company has grown consistently, to the point where it employs over 20 workers who produce top quality products for leading stores in over 45 countries worldwide.

Margot Steel Designs Motif Margot's emphasis on quality and design have led to many awards over the years including runner up "Scottish Gift Of The Year", Best Gift at an international trade fair in Paris and most recently Margot was awarded a "European Woman of Achievement" award.

The company is continually introducing new ranges and will always try to fulfil a customer's requirements for associated products - a personal touch that makes Margot Steel Designs popular throughout the world.
